The Corey Gilger Foundation (CGF) has set up an annual scholarship for students at Northern High School (NHS), located in Calvert County, Maryland. Corey and her three siblings all attend(ed) Northern, and during Corey's illness, the faculty, students, and families of NHS were a great support system for the Gilger family. In the spirit of giving back to the community, the CGF will present a $500 scholarship each year to a graduating senior who has cancer or has a family member suffering from the disease, and who has been impacted financially by the situation. To apply for the scholarship, please submit an essay (500 to 1000 words) describing your story and need for financial assistance. Be sure to include your name, address, and email address. Save the essay in PDF format and email it to scholarship@coreygilger.org. |
